The centre recognizes the power of modern instrumentation in dealing with the problems fundamental to the study of Environment both in the academic and industrial setting. Today any student without having proper training in and access to modern instrumentation is at a decided disadvantage. The centre possesses a wide range of equipments for use by its students in laboratory courses and research projects. Major instrumental equipment includes:

Gas Chromatography (GC Agilent 6890; GC parkin Elmer)

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC Jasco; Shimadzu Lc-8A)

Ion Chromatography ( Shimadzu)

Ion Analyzer ( Metrom)

UV and visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis Shimadzu 260)

Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrophotometer (FTIR Parkin Elmer)

Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer ( AAS 902 GBC)

Total Organic Carbon Analyzer (TOC Anatek)

Deep Freezer ( with capacity of -70oC)

In addition, the Centre is well stocked with standard laboratory equipment including pH meters, Conductivity meter, Dissolve Oxygen meter, Flame emission spectrophotometer, Turbidity meter, visible spectrophotometer, Rotary evaporators, Vacuum pumps, Drying ovens, Analytical balances etc.
