Earth science data is a valuable resource that can be used for applications unknown to the creator. This data should be easy to find and access. Further we think that communities should be able to tailor how they find data from general to increasingly project or program specific. we are able to visualize the distributed network of data providers working on many different projects, through a faceted search interface called uFIND. Facets or attributes are community defined based on what is important to the group for discovery. uFIND let's the user browse datasets by facet that they best understand first and narrow search results down by selecting additional facets. Results are narrowed with each facet selection dynamically, so the user can see if there are any results that fill the query. These datasets can then be browsed in DataFed browser.
Near Real Time Air Quality Console
Air quality console is an exploratory tool designed for air quality analysts and media. It is for visualizing multiple air quality information in near real time for any global region. The console hosts surface, satellite and model simulations of various atmospheric parameters available from GEOSS data repository. There is also provision to view these datasets in Google Earth for animation and overlay analyses.
